Thanks to its famous circular slide rule serving to handle all calculations relating to airborne navigation, the Navitimer (launched in 1952) was rapidly adopted as the official watch of the AOPA (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association), the world’s largest aeronautical association. In tribute to the legendary Navitimer AOPA of the 1950s and 60s, Breitling has created a 500-piece limited series with dial and engraved caseback bearing the association logo, and a COSC chronometer-certified self-winding chronograph movement.
