La historia
En la década de los 1950, el Co-Pilot Ref. 765 AVI original irrumpió en el mercado de la mano de otro icono de Breitling: el Navitimer. Con su atrevido diseño, bisel rotatorio grabado y esfera fácilmente legible, el 765 AVI se convirtió inmediatamente en el compañero perfecto del Navitimer como el reloj fiable y resistente de los pilotos. En la actualidad, el AVI 1953 Edition le da un lujoso giro al diseño original del Co-Pilot Ref. 765 AVI de 1953. La esfera enteramente negra, protegida por un cristal hesalite de abovedado alto, tiene los mismos dígitos arábigos que el original Co-Pilot, con pequeños contadores de cronógrafo de segundos, 15 minutos y 12 horas en la misma tonalidad de color. El color Super-LumiNova® aplicado a mano se escogió cuidadosamente para evocar el material luminiscente del original y aportar al AVI 1953 Edition un toque adicional de encanto retro. El AVI 1953 Edition presenta una caja en oro rojo de 18K y 41 milímetros con una hermeticidad al agua de hasta 3 bares (30 metros). El AVI 1953 Edition se mueve gracias al Calibre B09 de la manufactura, elaborado internamente por Breitling; se trata de un calibre de cuerda manual y con certificación COSC, basado en el prestigioso Calibre 01 de Breitling. Está disponible con una correa de piel marrón de inspiración retro con una hebilla en oro rojo de 18K como edición limitada de 253 ejemplares, cada uno de los cuales lleva grabadas las palabras «ONE OF 253».
