Se han registrado dos patentes de este innovador "motor" Breitling. El pulsador alojado en la corona a la altura de las 3 horas permite detener y reiniciar la manecilla de fracciones de segundo cuantas veces se desee durante una operación de cronometraje para medir los tiempos intermedios (fraccionados).
