Breitling’s iconic pilot’s chronograph – for the journey. In 1954, it became the official watch of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) and quickly gained popularity among airline captains and aviation enthusiasts. In 1962, it went to space on the wrist of astronaut Scott Carpenter. Over the years, it was also favored by legends like Miles Davis and Serge Gainsbourg—proof of its blend of precision and style. Today’s Navitimer stays true to its classic roots while embracing modern updates. A flattened slide rule and domed sapphire crystal create a slimmer profile, while the mix of polished and satin finishes adds refined contrast. The AOPA wings at 12 o’clock mark a return to its original design. This Japan-exclusive model, limited to just 50 pieces, features a black mother-of-pearl dial that subtly shifts with the light. The 18K red gold case and rotor of the in-house Caliber 01 movement reflect the model’s refined craftsmanship. “ONE OF 50” is engraved on the caseback—marking it as a rare and proud emblem of achievement.
