Breitling’s iconic pilot’s chronograph – for the journey. Chosen as the official watch of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) in 1954, it became a trusted tool for pilots during the golden age of aviation. In 1962, it traveled to space on the wrist of astronaut Scott Carpenter. Over time, icons like Miles Davis and Serge Gainsbourg embraced it—highlighting its blend of performance and style. Today’s Navitimer combines its classic features with modern refinements: a slimmer profile, polished and satin finishes, and the AOPA wings restored to 12 o’clock. This Japan Edition features an all-black dial design—including subdials and slide rule ring—for a sleek, monochrome look. The 18K red gold bezel and matching gold-colored hands, markers, and emblem add a touch of elegance. The bold contrast of black and gold gives this timepiece a quietly powerful presence on the wrist.
