The Story

The Top Time, introduced in the 1960s for young professionals, quickly became a favorite among both men and women, especially car enthusiasts with a passion for life and adventure. It inspired a series of unique designs, each embodying the era’s energy and style. In 2024, Breitling’s 140th anniversary, we introduced the Top Time B21 Chronograph Tourbillon 42 Japan Limited—a true pinnacle in our lineup of exclusive Japan limited editions. The piece features a newly muted green tone, inspired by the iconic cars of the 60s and 70s, symbols of freedom. Its 12 o’clock tourbillon, reminiscent of an engine beneath a hood, creates a striking focal point, while the case back, engraved with “ONE OF 10” around the edge, is crafted from sapphire crystal, offering a view of the Caliber B21’s movement. This caliber achieves the rare combination of a tourbillon and chronograph, with a rotor designed to resemble a vintage car steering wheel. The black ceramic case, accented with titanium, has a bold appearance at first glance, yet surprises with its lightweight feel and comfortable fit on the wrist. It is scratch-resistant and water-resistant up to 100 meters, making it a sophisticated chronograph you can easily take with you on a drive. This timepiece is destined to become a collector's item, available exclusively in Japan in a highly limited release of just 10 pieces.
