Geneva Watch Days

Geneva Watch Days: 17 watch Maisons for the only multibrand event to be held in Switzerland in 2020.

This initiative launched by several luxury brands will take place from August 26th to August 29th with the full support of the State and City of Geneva. With Baselworld and Watches & Wonders both cancalled, this event will be the only multibrand gathering taking place in 2020.

Geneva Watch Days will be held from August 26th to August 29th in associated Boutiques and Hotels located in downtown Geneva. This operation officially supported by the Republic and Canton of Geneva will bring together a total of 17 brands with very different profiles within a unique format.

While each of the brands will present its new products to the press and clients in its own space – whether a boutique or hotel – by appointment only, this initiative will enable the Geneva public to discover and learn about the new models presented by the officially participating Maisons in a tent set up in the city centre, on the Rotonde du Mont-Blanc at no. 10 Quai du Mont-Blanc.

The tent will also house a welcome desk: hostesses will direct visitors – both press and clients – towards the official Geneva Watch Days brands they wish to visit. Their various locations are indicated on the http://www.gva-watch-days.com website.

In addition to the respective exhibitions during daytime, Geneva Watch Days will also ensure lively evenings by celebrating this four-day event with a cocktail, dinner and a festive party. These will be held exclusively for clients and media guests of the officially associated brands, in strict compliance with the recommended sanitary measures.

Protective masks and hand sanitiser will be available to all exhibitors as well as in the areas where the moments shared by all participating brands and bringing together retailers as well as media representatives will take place. While social distancing measures will of course be strictly respected, this will in no way dampen the warm and friendly atmosphere desired and expected by all.

This initiative was launched by a pool of luxury brands including Bvlgari, Breitling, De Bethune, Gerald Genta, Girard-Perregaux, H. Moser & Cie, MB&F, Ulysse Nardin and Urwerk. They will be presenting numerous new models to retailers and the media who will be visiting Geneva. Eight additional Maisons have officially associated themselves with the event.

Alongside the interest aroused by this happening among the watchmaking community, it is of fundamental importance to the Canton and City of Geneva, which have been severely affected by the COVID-19 crisis. Overnight stays have plummeted, cafés and restaurants have taken a major hit and the local economy is still sluggish... Above and beyond their initial purely watchmaking vocation, Geneva Watch Days are also intended to bring a breath of fresh air to the local economy as a whole and to a city whose watchmaking industry is one of the brightest jewels in its crown.
