This edition introduces a 44 mm case in grade 2 titanium—a first for the Endurance Pro—measuring 12.5 mm thick, roughly 43% lighter than steel for a substantial yet ergonomic feel on the wrist. It features a brushed grey finish, a flat sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment, a pulsometer scale on the dial, a bidirectional bezel with a compass scale, and a solid screw-fixed caseback engraved with IRONMAN World Championship branding.
The grey dial is accented in blue and light blue and fitted on a blue IRONMAN-branded rubber strap with a stainless-steel double tang buckle.
Yes, it runs Breitling's Caliber 82, a thermo-compensated SuperQuartz movement that is COSC-certified, meaning it is roughly ten times more accurate than standard quartz calibers. Thermocompensation keeps it precise despite temperature fluctuations, and the absence of many moving parts makes it highly shock-resistant—ideal qualities for a demanding endurance race.
It drives a 1/10th-second chronograph, a 30-minute counter and a date display, with a battery life of approximately three to four years. For an athletic tool watch, this quartz architecture is a deliberate performance choice rather than a compromise.
The Endurance Pro IRONMAN World Championship is water resistant to 100 metres (10 bar), so it performs reliably in the swim leg of a triathlon as well as everyday swimming and water sports. Its crown uses double gaskets and the caseback is solid and screw-fixed for a secure seal.
While robust in water, it is engineered as a multi-sport endurance instrument rather than a deep-diving watch. To preserve the rating, keep the crown pushed in and have the seals checked periodically.
