Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 Ultraman Limited

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of Ultraman, Breitling brings together its iconic Navitimer with one of Japan's most enduring heroes.
Echoing Ultraman's origins from beyond the stars, it features—for the first time in a Japan-exclusive Navitimer—a meteorite dial crafted from Muonionalusta, a meteorite estimated to be approximately 4.5 billion years old.
Subtle color accents further enhance the design: the 30-minute counter features blue highlights at one and two minutes, and a red marker at three minutes—an understated reference to Ultraman's iconic sense of time.
The case back features the Ultraman 60th Anniversary logo, and "ONE OF 160" is engraved around its outer edge, subtly highlighting its limited-edition status.
Powered by Breitling's Manufacture Caliber 01, the watch combines precision, reliability, and heritage. More than a commemorative piece, it is a timepiece designed for everyday wear.

The Story

Introduced in 1952, the Navitimer was developed as an essential instrument for pilots, equipped with a circular slide rule that enabled critical in-flight calculations. Over the decades, it has evolved into one of Breitling's most iconic chronographs, its distinctive design and functionality transcending time to establish a position beyond that of a mere watch. Each timepiece is presented in a dedicated box and accompanied by a commemorative anniversary pin created by Tsuburaya Productions, reinforcing its special character. A portion of the proceeds from this model will be donated to the Ultraman Foundation, supporting Ultraman's enduring legacy and inspiring future generations of children to look toward the sky with wonder. ©TSUBURAYA PROD.

It is the 43 mm size of the iconic Navitimer, a pilot's chronograph with the famous circular slide-rule bezel, powered by the the in-house Manufacture Caliber 01.

The Breitling Navitimer is one of the world's most iconic pilot's watches. Conceived in 1952, it was originally developed for the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) and quickly became an essential tool for professional aviators. Its distinctive circular slide rule bezel sets it apart from other chronographs and has become one of the collection's defining design features.

The slide rule is a mechanical calculating instrument that allows pilots to perform a variety of flight-related calculations directly on the wrist, including:

  • Fuel consumption and fuel burn calculations

  • Average speed and flight time calculations

  • Distance and rate conversions

  • Unit conversions (such as nautical miles, statute miles, and kilometers)

  • Basic multiplication and division

While modern aircraft now rely on advanced onboard computers, the slide rule remains a functional tribute to the Navitimer's aviation heritage and a hallmark of Breitling's history of precision instrument making. Today, it continues to distinguish the Navitimer as both a highly recognizable luxury chronograph and a symbol of aviation excellence.

A chronograph is a stopwatch built into the watch: pushers start, stop and reset the timing while the watch keeps the time on its main hands.
