Gino Bartali was a champion of grit, conviction, and quiet courage. A rival to Coppi on the road and a force for hope beyond it, he won three Giro d’Italia titles and two Tours de France, while his wartime actions later revealed a deeper measure of character. Breitling’s renowned manufacture chronograph movement, the Caliber 01, is engineered and assembled at the Breitling Chronometrie. Designed for professional timekeeping, each movement is a COSC-certified chronometer with an approximate 70-hour power reserve off wrist. Its rigorous in-house testing simulates 16 years of wear—100,000 crown winds, 3,456,000 weight turns, 60,000 shocks at 500G, among other challenges. Built to endure, it comes backed by a five-year warranty.
