Manufacture

Breitling has its own manufacture and thus belongs to the exclusive circle of watch manufacturers with their own chronometry which is located in La Chaux-de-Fonds in Switzerland. Since 2009, they ensure the highest quality and that all electronic models are equipped with SuperQuartz™ movements. These are ten times more precise than a standard quartz. Production is state-of-the-art: fully automatic steps alternate with manual intervention, a perfectly coordinated process.

B01, B55 and B35 – these additions to the model name reveal that it is a Breitling caliber and can now be found in almost every collection: from the Navitimer to the Superocean Heritage and the Professional line.

At the end of the production line, the COSC test awaits the finished movement. The Official Swiss Chronometer Inspection checks the movement in detail and above all for accuracy.  Each movement is tested for 15 days under different temperatures and must still run with high precision. Only 5% of all watches manufactured in Switzerland are COSC certified.
