Breitling - Accessibility Statement
Introduction
At Breitling, in alignment with the European Accessibility Act (EAA), we are committed to ensuring that our websites are accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. To support this, we follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), the EN 301 549 V3.2.1 standard (ETSI) and other recognized frameworks. We continuously work to implement and maintain these standards across our digital platforms.
This Accessibility Statement outlines the following:
The Breitling Websites covered in this statement;
The services available and how to use them;
Our accessibility standards and the current conformance status;
Our commitment to maintaining and enhancing accessibility; and
How you can contact us if you experience any accessibility-related issues.
Scope
This Accessibility Statement applies only to the Breitling websites listed below (“Breitling Websites”). It does not apply to other Breitling subdomains or regional websites, which may have their own features and standards.
Websites and Services overview
The Breitling Websites provide a premium e-commerce experience, with features designed to be accessible, perceivable and compatible with certain assistive technologies. Relevant pages and sections include information about Breitling products and services available for sale, along with high-quality images, detailed manuals and search filters. A persistent accessibility icon, visible on every page, opens a control panel that allows users to adjust text size, contrast, spacing, and other settings.
Further details about our accessibility features and support options are provided below.
How to use the Breitling Websites
Here’s a quick overview of how to navigate and use our Breitling Websites:
Navigation: we offer accessible menus, as well as compatibility and customization options, including adjustable text size, zoo, spacing, etc. We aim to use plain, easy-to-understand language, and offer multiple methods of navigation, including global navigation (main navigation), footer navigation and search functionality. Our customer support is also available to assist with any accessibility-related questions before, during and after the purchase.
Finding Products and Services: users can search by keyword or apply filters to easily find items, and change the language if needed. Product pages include clear descriptions and technical details, and error messages are designed to be accessible and easy to understand.
Cart, accounts and checkout: users can create accounts, update information, manage their carts and complete purchases with ease. The checkout process is designed with accessibility in mind, including logical focus order and clearly presented error and validation messages.
As mentioned, an accessibility icon remains visible on all pages. Clicking this icon opens the control panel where users can customize their experience to suit their needs.
Standards compliance
We are actively working to improve the accessibility of the Breitling Websites in alignment with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA and EN 301 549 v3.2.1. Accessibility is evaluated using:
Manual testing;
Automated testing tools;
Assistive technology compatibility checks (e.g., screen readers, keyboard navigation); and
Ongoing reviews when new content is published or in response to user feedback or accessibility-related issues.
We recognize that some parts of the Breitling Websites may not yet fully meet the above accessibility standards. This may include older content or certain interactive features. These are currently under review, and we are actively working to improve them. We are also committed to continuously improving our overall accessibility score and levels.
Ongoing monitoring and maintenance
We are committed to making accessibility part of our long-term strategy. Our efforts include:
Development updates: our design and development processes are being updated to integrate accessibility best practices from the outset.
Regular audits and tests: we perform ongoing reviews using automated and manual evaluations.
User feedback: we welcome and review all feedback from users (see Feedback below). Reported issues are logged, reviewed by relevant teams and prioritized for resolution.
Ongoing monitoring: we actively track updates to accessibility standards and regulations to ensure continued compliance.
Further steps
We aim to integrate accessibility into all stages of our development process. Specifically: We provide training to relevant staff teams to keep them up to date with the latest accessibility standards, tools and best practices.
We ask third-party vendors and service providers to meet accessibility requirements whenever possible.
We are putting in place internal processes, regular review cycles and clear responsibilities to make sure accessibility is included in all major Breitling Websites releases, updates and improvements.
