Breitling watches are entirely manufactured in Switzerland, according to the strictest quality Swiss watchmaking standards. They undergo nearly 1,000 checks during production, while all movements (mechanical and quartz alike) have successfully passed the extremely stringent tests of the COSC (Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute). Any manufacturing fault is also covered by an international warranty valid for two years from the date of purchase, or for five years for watches equipped with a mechanical Manufacture movement.
The water resistance of a watch or a chronograph can only be guaranteed for a limited period of time, particularly due to the risk of natural deterioration of the gaskets. It is therefore necessary, throughout the warranty period of your watch or chronograph, to have the water resistance tested, every two years after the date of purchase, by an authorized Breitling repair center. Such tests are performed free of charge.
The present warranty does not cover water resistance problems and their consequences if such periodic water resistance tests have not been performed every two years after the date of purchase.
